Good with other cats?: I might possibly be ok with a calm confident cat, who can help me come out of my shell.
Good with dogs?: I have not been around any dogs whilst in foster, but I don’t think I would like one in my furever home.
Good with children?: I would need a quiet, calm household – no small, fast moving children.

Hello, I’m Shelby! ❤️

I’m a beautiful, fluffy tabby and white teenage girl. I had a hard start to life, and I’m still learning that people can be trusted. My foster parents are trying their best to show me that humans can be kind and loving, but I’m not quite ready to come out of my shell just yet. At the moment, I feel safest hiding under a blanket or pillow, where my foster parents can gently give me pats and head massages. It’s a little step, but it’s a start!

I do enjoy my food, though, and I’m quite happy when my foster family puts down some Oscars wet food and biscuits for me.

I’ll need a special home with patient and loving people who understand that I’m going to need time to adjust and settle in. I would ideally need to be an indoor-only girl, where I can feel safe and slowly build my confidence without the worries of the outside world.

My foster parents feel I would do better living separately from my sister. Having my own space could give me the chance to find my confidence and learn to trust people in my own time, without picking up on each other’s fears.

I’m still finding my confidence, so I’ll need someone who is happy to take things slowly and celebrate the little steps along the way. With patience, kindness and a safe place to call home, I hope to discover that life with humans can be pretty wonderful.

Adoption appointments: Saturday 24th October between 9am- midday
Time and day of appointment will depend on which kitten(s). However, if you cannot make that timeframe, please let us know and we will see if we can try and work out an alternative time over the weekend.
