Good with children?: I haven’t been around children yet, but I think I would be ok with children of all ages once I got to know them.

Hi, I’m Kalama 🖤🐾
I’m a sleek little black hunting machine! I haven’t been outside yet, so for now I practise my hunting skills on toys—but my foster mum says I’m super fast and nimble. I also have the cutest little white tuft on my chest, just like a tūī.
I absolutely adore my foster doggy brother. He’s a big black Labrador, just like me, and even though he’s gigantic, he’s really a softy at heart. I love snuggling up with him and making biscuits on his fur.
My foster mum says it’s okay for me to drink out of the dog’s water bowl. Sometimes I dip a paw in first and give it a good wash—apparently I’m not supposed to hop right into the bowl though, because I make quite a mess 😹
I also try very hard to “help” around the house by pulling tea towels off the rack to play with. I’m not very good at soaking up water, but I have lots of enthusiasm!
My favourite toys are catnip kickers, feather wands, boxes… honestly, I love them all. After a busy day of zooming around and playing, I like to curl up on the couch and enjoy chin scratches from my foster mum.
I’ve been in foster with my two siblings, two older timid foster cats, and a resident dog, so I’m very used to other animals—I even helped encourage one shy foster cat to relax and play—and while I haven’t met children yet, I think I’d be okay with kids of all ages 💛🐾
Adoption appointments: Saturday 16th May between 9:30am-11am
Time and day of appointment will depend on which kitten(s). However, if you cannot make that timeframe, please let us know and we will see if we can try and work out an alternative time over the weekend.
