Good with dogs?: I have not been around any dogs whilst in foster, so I am not sure how I would go.

Bio:

Hi, I’m Māia 🐾

My name means “brave,” and I think it suits me perfectly. When I first arrived in foster care, I was very scared, but now you wouldn’t believe how much I love cuddles! My favourite place in the world is on a warm lap, soaking up all the pats and affection I can get.

I can still be a little nervous when people walk towards me. Sometimes I even give a little hiss, but I’m all talk! Once you gently reassure me and pop me onto your lap, I melt into a purring ball of love. I also adore making biscuits, although I’m still learning that my claws can be a little sharp when I’m showing just how happy I am.

As much as I love cuddles, I’m still a kitten, so I have a playful side too. One of my favourite games is carrying my toy on a string over to my foster mum and asking her to play chase with me.

I love my sister, but I also love having my humans all to myself. My dream home would be with someone who is home a lot or works from home, so I can spend plenty of time being the lap cat I’ve always wanted to be. I’ll need a little patience while I settle into a new environment, but once I feel safe, I’ll reward you with endless affection.

I’d be best suited to a quieter home without young children, as loud noises and fast movements can still make me feel unsure. I haven’t met any dogs yet, but with slow introductions I may be happy to live with one.

Adoption appointments: Saturday 4th July between 10am- midday
Time and day of appointment will depend on which kitten(s). However, if you cannot make that timeframe, please let us know and we will see if we can try and work out an alternative time over the weekend.
